SV Hedgehogs is a small hobby breeder of African Pygmy Hedgehogs (APH) and Lesser Hedgehog Tenrecs (LHT).
We are located on beautiful Quadra Island, British Columbia, Canada.
Our herd consists of Pedigreed Hedgehogs and Tenrecs from across Europe, the USA and Canada. We pride ourselves on breeding healthy, friendly, uniquely coloured babies that are not inbred and free from genetic diseases.

​We offer pet Hedgehogs and Tenrecs for adoption; and rescue ones that need new homes. Please visit our Available Page to inquire about babies, adults and rescues that need forever homes!

I have owned hedgehogs since 2005 and started breeding in 2016.

How Do I Get On The Wait List??

Paid Deposit Wait List

• ​Please E-Mail or Text me PRIOR to sending a Deposit.
• A non-refundable deposit will hold a baby.
• The paid deposit will go towards your new baby.
• Hedgehog and Tenrec prices are the same regardless of genetics, age, colouring...
• Our babies are worth the wait! They are healthy, friendly and oh soooo cute!!!
• Placing a deposit early means you will get to pick your baby at 3 weeks old and get updates as they grow!
• I have Hedgehog litters every 2-4 weeks, depending on the length of my waitlist!
  
• Tenrecs only have babies once per year. So deposits will not be accepted until babies are actually born. Please follow my Instagram account so that you are up to date! 💕🦔💕
  

General Adoption Info

• Please be sure to read our Policies Page and either Email, Text or Message on Instagram/Facebook PRIOR to paying a deposit!
  
• Do not send me a deposit if I haven't chatted with you first, if I don't know who you are I cannot adopt to you!
• Please check out our Care Pages for shopping lists and enclosure requirements! 
• Deposits are not refundable once sent.
• We will assume you have READ our Policies page when contacting SV Hedgehogs. If you have NOT done so, please read BEFORE contacting me. 
• SVHH includes Health Guarantees, snuggle pouches, food and more! Go to or Available Page for more details!
  
• Your baby must be paid in full prior to leaving my home.

• ​We air ship YEAR ROUND to multiple cities across Canada! Abbotsford, Brandon, Calgary, Charlottetown, Yellowknife, Edmonton, Fort McMurray, Fort Saint John, Grande Prairie, Kelowna, Ottawa, Regina, Saskatoon, Toronto, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Halifax, Thunder Bay, Prince George, Moncton, Montreal, Quebec City and Victoria! 
  
• I also meet adopters from Vancouver Island in Campbell River or Comox! 
  
• If your city is not listed do not hesitate to contact me, I do sometimes travel to Victoria or Nanaimo to air ship which has different options with Air North, Air Canada and Pacific Coastal.
